Reflections In A Wilderness' is the hypnotic and beguiling new album from enigmatic Scottish-based producer, Veryan.

With a love of ethereal shoegaze, Tangerine Dream, and minimalistic soundtracks, Veryan creates immersive, melodic and emotional-tinged ambient instrumentals. Her new album is a marked progression from her 2021 album, 'Here'.

‘Reflections in a Wilderness’ is a love letter to winter in Veryan’s isolated forest home on the West Coast of Scotland. It marks the passage of time, both real and imagined, and the unpredictability of life and nature.

Her shimmering, introspective brand of electronica has a sound palette that occasionally borrows from 70's german electronic scene (the opening track 'Nothing Lasts Forever a case in point', but Veryan isn't afraid to flex to traditional piano skills, from the plaintive 'The Light Without Love' to the soaring, cloud-kissed euphoria of 'The Emptiness Of Inner Fields'.

“Living remotely gives you the luxury of space and time to think – to reflect" mentions Veryan, reflecting on the surroundings that shaped and inspired the album. "It’s about holding a mirror up to yourself and seeing how life has shaped you, what you choose to think and believe in, and what really matters.”
